Our Programs

The Basics for Phoenix helps a number of different low income or impoverished people groups have beds, basic furniture needs and helping them succeed in our communities.

When a child lacks a basic necessity such as a bed, it affects their lives negatively in many ways. The lack of a bed for nighttime sleeping can hinder a child’s ability to sleep restfully and deeply.

Having a soft bed in which to sleep at night is shown to help improve a child’s ability to sleep restfully, to dream peacefully, and to learn and listen more comprehensively in school and in life.

In addition, when families have a kitchen table to share meals at and living room furniture with which to relax and enjoy time with loved ones, those items provide a feeling of security in knowing their basic needs are met.

Whatever the need, The Basics for Phoenix works together with schools, churches and social services organizations to identify and fill that need.

Our response to each situation is always unique, since each person’s story and struggles are always unique.

We work hard to respect each individual situation and to partner together with our social service and other organizations to identify and fill individual needs with the right solutions.

We help provide stabilization and reintegration into our society by providing basic furniture needs for all children, young adults, struggling families and the elderly in Phoenix, Arizona.

We share our resources and make every effort possible to help those in need as much as we can.

Many people are cut off and isolated from their family, friends and support systems.  This is especially common in these times of illness, uncertainty and difficulty.

Someone may be struggling to make ends meet and need the appropriate attire and haircut for the purpose of getting a better job.

There are parents in need of assistance as they work to take their children out of a toxic home.

Whatever the need, The Basics for Phoenix assesses the need and supports the needs of our community members.

Response to each situation is always unique, since each person’s story and struggles are always unique.

By working closely with organizations throughout the valley we are helping alleviate the burden on residents that have been displaced by the current Covid-19 pandemic crisis or other crises.

When crisis strikes, we respond with care, compassion and charity. We do our best to leave no member of our community behind.

When you give to help with The Basics for Phoenix, you are helping the most vulnerable in our communities.
